This piece of ash burl was cut to include the outer cap of the burl as well as some of the wood. The knurled exterior could be an interesting terrain for your dragon hoard by adding some coins spilling down with some other gold objects. The piece is 4 inches long by 3.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches high (102mm x 69mm x 38mm).
Burl, Black Locust, Foot-Shaped
$7.95This piece of black locust is cut like a foot from a burl in the wood. The slice measure 3 inches long by 2.25 inches wide and is a quarter inch thick (76mm by 57mm by 6mm). The burl is concentrated mostly within the ball of the foot and toes. With the longer shape this could easily accommodate a four-legged terror like a land shark or winged horse.

At 2.5 inches around it’s a sizable base for an army unit (64mm round by 16mm). It would look awesome under a gnarled troll or some other gruesome retch.

This piece is 1/3rd of a burl from an oak. It grew on the surface of the tree and didn’t require cutting. However, to make a display from the piece it was cut into 2 pieces. This one resembles a rose budding from a branch collar. With a foot print of 3.125 inches by 2.875 inches and a height of 1.75 inches (89mm around by 76mm) this artistic piece will be perfect for your Knight of the Rose or woodland creatures.

This burl is fairly round, measuring 4 inches by 4.25 inches and 2 inches tall (102mm x 108mm x 51mm). The knurls on the piece would make nice outcroppings to drape a decent sized dragon over or a proud giant with a foot forward on a knob.

This piece is 2/3rds of a burl from an oak. It grew on the surface of the tree and didn’t require cutting. However, to make a display from the piece it was cut into 2 pieces. This one resembles a rock outcropping or cliff edge. With a foot print of 3.5 inches around and a height of 3 inches (89mm around by 76mm) this big guy will make a triumphant display for your hero or monster. There room for a tail to curl around the outside.
