This piece is 1/3rd of a burl from an oak.  It grew on the surface of the tree and didn’t require cutting.  However, to make a display from the piece it was cut into 2 pieces.  This one resembles a rose budding from a branch collar.  With a foot print of 3.125 inches by 2.875 inches and a height of 1.75 inches (89mm around by 76mm) this artistic piece will be perfect for your Knight of the Rose or woodland creatures.

This piece is 2/3rds of a burl from an oak.  It grew on the surface of the tree and didn’t require cutting.  However, to make a display from the piece it was cut into 2 pieces.  This one resembles a rock outcropping or cliff edge.  With a foot print of 3.5 inches around and a height of 3 inches (89mm around by 76mm) this big guy will make a triumphant display for your hero or monster.  There room for a tail to curl around the outside.

  • Flames, Oak, Set of 3

    $14.65

This set of oak pieces are all cut from the same piece of seasoned wood, finished with teak oil and the sides of these have been painted with Reaper Black Ink which has a semi-gloss finish to it that makes the edges look like they are made from anthracite.  I originally was going to make a larger display piece out of these but I decided to leave them separated and sell them as a set.  Perhaps you want them for a multi-tier display base or to just place them in a dish with some other interesting baubles on your mantle.

The flames are sized in order from the top then clockwise are:

    A.  2 in x 2 in x 0.4 in (51mm x 51mm x 10mm)

    B.  2.5 in x 1.75 x 0.4 in (64mm x 45mm x 10mm)

    C.  2.75 in x 2 in x 0.4 in (70mm x 51mm x 10mm)

  • Hexagonal, Red Oak, 3in

    $2.50

Red Oak Hexagons are 3 inches by 2.75 inches and 0.375 inches high (76mm x 70mm x 10mm).    They are all cut so the branch center is in the middle.

  • Oddity, Spalted, Oak

    $3.15

This piece had a lot of character so I went ahead and finished it off.  The center has a hole in it from where the heartwood was.  The outside edge of the piece is ragged from years of seasoning on a wood pile and worm trails.  Make sure to find something special to put on this piece. The length of it is 2.75 inches, width is 2.125 inches and it’s 0.5 inches thick (70 x 54 x 13 mm).

  • Plinth, Oak, “Demon Stand”

    $11.95

The insect riddled exterior of this plinth is stained with Reaper’s Spattered Gore.  The “worm tracks” and texture of the exterior are washed with Reaper’s Walnut Brown.  The lighter sections are where the bark used to be and thus it wasn’t weathered like the rest of the branch.  Those sections are outlined with a black glaze to increase the contrast between the sections.  At nearly 3 inches tall and a little over 1.5 inches around (41mm round x 73mm tall) this base could house a baleful demon or arch devil a little freehand painted summoning circle at the top could complete the look.

    Miniatures not included
