    $2.89

These round cottonwood pieces are hard to get solid pieces with the bark intact.  These survived cutting, sanding and finishing.  The shapes of the bark on the cottonwood are awesome.  At nearly twice the thickness of our other rounds, the weight of the cottonwood is the same giving it bulk but not the weight.  The rounds are 1.75 inches around and half an inch high (45mm round x 12mm).

These large round elm pieces have the coolest bark.  Worm tracks have left really sharp indentations all around the piece.  Measuring 3.25 inches round and 3/8ths inches high (70mm x 70mm by 9mm) they are perfect bases for giants, trolls and other large beasts of war.

Owner of Hearth Stone Miniatures, Scott Maurer, has created an amazing diorama using Dark Sword Miniatures’, “Lovers,” and a ton of custom sculpting.  For the base of his piece he used this Elm Round.  Pictures to the left.

This big disc is a solid piece of hickory.  The outer ring of the tree darkened from insect activity.  The tree filled in and created little hearts of light within the dark.  At 5 inches around (127mm round by 13mm) this beast is waiting for a mammoth of yours to be attached.  Perhaps a larger giant or a proper dragon.

  • Round, Honey Locust

    $1.55

Honey Locust, like the Black Locust has very distinct tree rings and a decent different between the heartwood and the sapwood.  The smooth wood tone of the sapwood contrasting against the golden heartwood makes for an exemplary base for your ogre, treant, troll or other giant-sized minion.  The pieces are roughly 1.75 inches around and 3/8 of an inch thick (44mm x 44mm x 10mm).

  • Round, Lilac, 3in

    $5.35

This slice of a lilac bush has great character from years of growth.  The heartwood is contrasted nicely with the light sapwood.  A darker tree ring encircles the heartwood.  Find a nice majestic dragon to grace this gorgeous piece of wood.  The round is 3 inches by 2.75 inches around and 0.3125 inches thick (76mm x 70mm x 8mm).
