Oddity, Spalted, Maple

This piece of maple is from a well seasoned limb that had succumbed to spalting.  The piece was cut at the divide of the limb into two branches and thus its oblong shape.  A perfect piece for a cavalry, steed or other four-legged animal.  The piece is 3.25 inches long by 1.5 inches wide and 3/8th inch thick (83mm x 38mm x 10mm).
