Oddity, Spalted, Maple

This piece of maple is from a well seasoned limb that had succumbed to spalting.  The piece was cut at the divide of the limb into two branches and thus its oblong shape.  At 2.75 inches long, 1.5 inches wide and 0.375 inches tall (70mm x 38mm x 10mm) it’s a perfect piece for a cavalry, steed or other four-legged animal.
